Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system which can gather much useful information from a wide range and distribute it to members. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a map server MS which makes it possible to browse maps through the Internet IN and an application server AS which allows processing for place corresponding information including at least browsing enabling processing wherein the registration of a member meeting previously set conditions is accepted and only when the registered member selects a place on a map enabled to be browsed, the selected place is stored and place corresponding information corresponding to the stored place is enabled to be browsed through the Internet IN and processing corresponding to the place corresponding information discriminatingly between the registered member and an unregistered member based on the content of the processing.
