Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device provided with a vernier which realizes satisfactory light shielding performance and satisfactory reduction of wiring resistance. SOLUTION: The vernier 1 for checking the position and the width of a sealing material 11 for sealing a liquid crystal is provided in the inner part of wiring with a negative pattern and its shape is formed so that a scale part and a figure part transmit light and the other parts do not transmit light. The liquid crystal display device having excellent display uniformity can be provided, since the wiring resistance can be suppressed low and light leakage is lessened, and the yield is enhanced and the inexpensive liquid crystal display device can be provided, since the patterns of a seal and an alignment layer can be checked in the manufacturing stage.
