Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precursor fiber bundle for carbon fiber necessary for supplying high-strength carbon fiber in its manufacturing process and having high stability in its flameproofing step. SOLUTION: This precursor fiber bundle for carbon fiber is made from an acrylic copolymer 1.3-1.5 in intrinsic viscosity [η] and composed of an acrylic fiber assembly having a single filament fineness of 0.7-2.0 dtex, single filament elongation of 18-30% and filament number of 40,000-100,000. The other objective method for producing the precursor fiber bundle comprises the steps of wet spinning of a spinning dope containing 18-22 wt.% of the acrylic copolymer using a spinneret with 40,000-100,000 holes and then drawing the resultant undrawn fiber bundle by a factor of 3-6. |
