Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method which is capable of inexpensively yielding ornamental parts having hardened layer surfaces finished to smooth mirror finished surfaces. SOLUTION: The ornamental parts consist of austenitic stainless steel, and the hardened layers solutionized with carbon atoms are formed on the surfaces of the stainless steel. Anodically oxidized films having a thickness of 120 to 260 are formed on the surfaces of the hardened layers, The method for manufacturing the ornamental parts includes a process step for working the materials consisting of the stainless steel described above to prescribed shapes, then a fluorination treatment process step for subjecting the parts to fluorination treatment in a gaseous fluorine atmosphere, a gas carburization treatment process step of subjecting the parts to gas carburization treatment in a carburizable gaseous atmosphere containing carbon monoxide, and an electrolytic process step for holding the parts at anode, immersing the parts in an acidic electrolyte in an electrolytic treatment cell held at a cathod and passing a prescribed current between the cathode and the anode. The black films formed on the surfaces of the parts by the gas carburization treatment are dissolved away from the surfaces of the parts by the electrolyte treatment process step described above, and further, the method included a process step for electrolytic grinding or mechanical grinding. |
