Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate body weight, nutritional requirement and amount of a supplied concentrated feed of a fattening ox by measuring the heart girth of the Japanese Black species fattening ox with an estimation scale such as a measuring tape. SOLUTION: (1) The heart girth of the Japanese Black species fattening ox ranging from a fattening period at the age of 9 months to 28 months is measured by a tapelike scale and the body weight of the fattening ox is estimated from a regression equation indicating a significant correlation with the body weight and the nutritional requirement of the fattening ox determined from a function of the 0.75-th power of body weight is estimated. The amount of the supplied concentrated feed to the fattening ox calculated on the basis of the body weight is estimated from the energy to be supplied. (2) Scales 3 of the estimated body weight are marked at positions corresponding to scales 2 of the heart girth in a tapelike scale. (3) Scales 4 of the estimated nutritional requirement are marked at positions corresponding to the scales 2 of the heart girth. (4) Scales 5 of the estimated amount of supplied concentrated feed are marked at positions corresponding to the scales 2 of the heart girth. (5) The scales 3 of the estimated body weight, the scales 4 of the estimated nutritional requirement and the scales 5 of the estimated amount of the concentrated feed are marked together at positions corresponding to the scales 2 of the heart girth. |
