Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device that can cut the number of parts and improve productivity and miniaturize. SOLUTION: This light emitting device mounts a light emitting element 4 and lead frames 2, 3 in a light guide plate 5 emitting surface light. The number of parts is reduced by incorporating the light emitting element 4 and the lead frames 2, 3 in one in the light guide plate 5. Then, the light guide plate 5 has a flat light emitting surface 5a in the front and a tapered surface tapering in a main emitting direction in the back, and a finely rough knurled surface 5b is formed on the tapered surface to diffuse the light from the light emitting element 4.
