Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater current application control device of an air fuel ratio sensor capable of surely preventing a thermal shock of an air fuel ratio sensor without an exhaust pipe temperature sensor, a sensor temperature detecting circuit and the like. SOLUTION: This heater current application control device of an air fuel ratio sensor with a heater fitted to an exhaust pipe of an engine is provided with an exhaust pipe temperature calculating means for calculating the exhaust pipe temperature near the air fuel ratio sensor according to the engine rotational frequency detected by an engine rotational frequency detecting means and the engine load detected by an engine load detecting means, and a heater current application control means for controlling the heater current application of the air fuel ratio sensor according to the exhaust pipe temperature calculated by the exhaust pipe temperature calculating means.
