FLOOR DRAIN TRAP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor drain trap capable of largely improving drainage efficiency and also preventing bad-odor from intruding. SOLUTION: The upper opening 2a of a cylindrical main body section 2 is connected to a drain inlet mounted to the floor of a washing place for a unit bathroom. The upper opening 2a is covered with a meshy cover 8. A water reserving section 3 is installed to the bottom section of the cylindrical main body section 2 while a cylindrical draining section 4 is secured onto a side wall. A cylindrical inflow section 9 for bathtub drain is set up on a side wall on the reverse side to the cylindrical draining section 4 for the water reserving section 3. A funnel-shaped inflow cylinder 5 is fitted on the upper side of the cylindrical draining section 4. The lower end section of the vertical section of the funnel-shaped inflow cylinder 5 is positioned at a place slightly lower than the top section 3' of the water reserving section 3. A right spherical float 7 is arranged in the upper section of the funnel-shaped inflow cylinder 5.
