Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently mass producing a protected 2'- deoxycytidine derivative, with which defects of conventional method are dissolved without using a halogenic solvent. SOLUTION: Formation of a ditrityl derivative is controlled under a specific condition. Crystallization is carried out by using a specific solvent which is a poor solvent for benzoyl 2'-deoxycytidine derivative and a good solvent for a protected 2'-deoxycytidine derivative. Consequently, a high-purity protected 2'-deoxycytidine derivative is simply produced on an industrial scale.
