Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a water system capable of maintaining hypohalogen acid in the treated water having a concentration enough to exterminate or to peel off and to remove a microorganism and an aquatic organism which would cause an organismal trouble and also capable of preventing the corrosion of metal in contact with the treated water due to the hypohalogen acid. SOLUTION: In the water system where the organism is exterminated with the hypohalogen acid, this method is characterized by comprising a step of measuring the oxidation-reduction potential of the treated water and a step adjusting the amount of the hypohalogen acid as well as the metal corrosion inhibitor to be added on the basis of the measurement result.
