Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical assembly for resecting the greater tubercle from the humerus of a patient during performance of the shoulder replacement procedure. SOLUTION: The surgical assembly is provided with a cutting tool for resecting the greater tubercle from the humerus. The surgical assembly is also provided with a tool guide member formed with a tool guide surface in its inside. The tool guide surface is so constituted as to position the cutting tool in a prescribed position in the greater tubercle of the humerus. This resecting method resects the greater tubercle from the humerus during performance of the shoulder replacement procedure.
