Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for converting metals scattered from electrodes, contacts and metals in the vicinity thereof into insulating materials in opening/ closing the contacts of the electrodes of a switch. SOLUTION: This method for converting metals scattered in arcing into insulating materials is characterized in that when arcing between the contacts in opening/closing of the electrodes of the switch, the metals scattered from the electrodes, the contacts and the metals in the vicinity thereof due to the arc are formed into an insulation material by an insulating property imparting gas scattering from a gas generation source compound disposed close to the electrodes, the contacts and the metals in the vicinity thereof.
