SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a carbon nanotube, characterized in that an arc discharge is produced between a cathode electrode 3 consisting of a carbon rod 2 and an anode electrode 5 consisting of a carbon rod 4 which are both provided in a reaction chamber 1 kept under a reduced pressure atmosphere of an inert gas, and in that a product produced by the arc discharge is captured by a carbon nanotube capturing member 6 provided around the cathode and the anode electrodes. |
