Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a penetrating apparatus for a steel pipe pile, which dispenses with a large-scale apparatus and can easily obtain a large rotational speed ratio. SOLUTION: The penetrating apparatus for the steel pipe pile is comprised of a gripping means for gripping and releasing the steel pipe pile, and a squeezing-restoring means for squeezing the gripped steel pipe pile by rotating a torque from a plurality of hydraulic motors via a transmitting mechanism. According to the penetrating apparatus, the hydraulic motors 5a, 5b are set to have different capacities, and one of the hydraulic motors having a larger capacity has a switching valve 11 which is arranged across at least one of hydraulic circuits of the hydraulic motor.
