DEVICE FOR JUDGING ABNORMALITY IN PRODUCTION PROCESS OF STEEL PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality in a production process in real time. SOLUTION: A device for judging the abnormality in the production process of steel products has a material quality storage means for accumulating the actual results of the components of base materials, actual results of operation and actual results of the material quality for each product produced in past years, an input variable restriction means for restricting input variables giving large effects on the material quality according to a rule by using the inputted informations related to the components of the base materials and the operation, a material quality estimation/calculation means which defines a distance function by using the restricted input variable, then calculating the distance between each data in the material quality storage means and the inputted value by the use of the distance function, extracting a datum close to the inputted value according to the calculated distance, calculating an estimation value of the material quality from the extracted datum and the estimation error and outputting, and a process abnormality diagnosis means for diagnosing the abnormality in the production process from the material quality estimation value, the estimation error and the actual results of the material quality.
