Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost electric type side sliding door presser device being superior in maintenance and finely controllable and to provide a side sliding door presser device manually operated, if an electric system breaks down. SOLUTION: A plurality of presser cylinders 4a and 4b which pressurize the side sliding door 2 covering a doorway 3 of a vehicle from the car inside toward the car outside are formed by using ball screws, respectively. A power mechanism operating the presser cylinders 4a and 4b is formed of an electric motor 5 with an electromagnetic brake. An output shaft 5a of the electric motor 5 and the ball screws are connected by a power transmission mechanism having a torsion shaft 6, and each of the screws is connected as well. The electric motor 5 is provided with a worm wheel 19 engaged with a worm of a manual handle and the worm wheel 19 and the output shaft 5a are linked together.
