FINE-SIZED STEEL WIRE FOR GAS-SHIELDED ARC WELDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine-sized steel wire for gas-shielded arc welding, even when being bent into an S-shape or a J-shape and welded by using a soft and long conduit cable for wire feed, which has good wire feedability so that the slip in a wire feed roller part is little and its friction resistance in a conduit tube is low, and in which a lubricant on the surface of the wire is hardly released, and clogging of a tip does not occur, and which enables welding in the state that an arc is stable for a long time. SOLUTION: The surface roughness Ra of the fine-sized steel wire for gas- shielded arc welding is 0.05 to 0.14 μm. The surface of the wire is incorporated with one or two kinds selected from molybdenum disulfide and tungsten disulfide of 0.05 to 0.30 g per 10 kg of the wire, ethylene tetrafluoride of 0.02 to 0.10 g, metallic salt of 0.04 to 0.25 g, and a liquid lubricant of 0.1 to 0.8 g.
