DUST COLLECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector which miniaturizes the size of a main body by optimizing the layouts of various kinds of parts of a tank, a prefilter unit, a control unit, etc., disposed in the casing of the main body. SOLUTION: The tank 28 and the control unit 27 are arranged in an upper side region within a housing 12 of the welding fume dust collector 1. The tank 28 for housing a main filter 24 is formed approximately to an L shape in side sectional view having an extension section 28a extending horizontally forward from the bottom end of its front. The prefilter unit 25 arranged on the upstream side of the suction air current of the main filter 24 is housed in the extension section 28a in the state of being integrally assembled to a dust collection tray 21. The control unit 27 of an electric system constituted to the form of being confined in a control room 40 consisting of a clearance (space) made on the upper side of the extension part 28a is arranged in the control room 40 within the housing 12. The blower unit 23 is housed at the lowermost stage in the housing 12.
