Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope and an endoscope instrument capable of dimming the light of a light source device arranged outside even if the endoscope is combined with a camera head while having portability capable of using a battery type light source. SOLUTION: In this endoscope 1A, a light guide base 14 for detachably connecting the battery type light source 5 is protrusively arranged in an operation part 3 side part. This light guide base 14 can be connected to the light source device 7 via a light source cable 6 selectively detachably connected to the battery type light source 5. The endoscope 1A is provided with an imaging side electric contact point 45 electrically connected to a camera head electric contact point 42 arranged on the camera head 8, and is provided with a light source side electric contact point 46 electrically connected to a cable electric contact point 44 arranged on the light source cable 6, and is internally provided with an endoscope signal conductor 47 for connecting these imaging side electric contact point 45 and light source side electric contact point 46.
