Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine powdered shell capable of effectively utilizing waste shell, and capable of efficiently decomposing such materials as formaldehyde, dioxin, etc., which causes environmental problems. SOLUTION: This fine powdered shell obtained by crushing shell includes calcium carbonate and calcium oxide, has 0.1-100 μm of average particle diameter, and has 10/90-90/10 of component ratio of CaCO3/CaO. This fine powdered shell can be obtained by a manufacturing method provided with a step of crushing shell to coarse particles having 5-100 mm of average particle diameter, a step of firing the crushed shell, obtained from above crushing step, at 600-1000 deg.C and for 1-15 h, and a step of crushing the fired shell, obtained from above firing step, to fine powdered shell having 0.1-100 μm of average particle diameter.
