Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric parking brake device allowing presumption of the size of a brake actuation force from the load of a motor generated in accordance with the load transmitted reversely from the side with ball screw mechanism to the side with the motor while the braking force of wheel brakes is prevented from slackening with the reversely transmitted load. SOLUTION: Along a screw shaft 47 a nut 31 is moved by driving the ball screw mechanism 49 by the motor 30, and the brake actuation force is transmitted to each wheel brake through a Bowden wire 13, and the screw shaft 47 is checked from rotating by an electromagnetic brake 33 and the location of the nut 31 is fixed. When the motor 30 is actuated, the tension of the Bowden wire 13 is transmitted reversely from the side with the ball screw mechanism 49 to the side with the motor 30, so that it is possible to presume the size of the brake actuation force on the basis of the motor load, for example the current flowing in the motor 30.
