Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide digital contents distributing system and method and a distributing server system which enable stable supply of digital contents distributing service and a fast response by using a server of a small storage capacity. SOLUTION: When a user terminal 10 gives a distribution request of digital contents 50, the digital contents 50 are transferred from a center server 31 holding all the digital contents 50 which can be supplied to the edge server 32 of an area network to which the user terminal 10 belongs. Then, the digital contents 50 are distributed from the edge server 32 to the user terminal 10.
