Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an image output device dispensing a line buffer, realizing cost reduction, significantly reducing the number of circuits and cables for transmitting/receiving signals between an image processor and the image output device, and further hardly generating unnecessary electric waves, and correcting the image output state, such as deviation of the image position of the image output device, whereby a high-quality image is outputted, and to provide an image forming device using the controller. SOLUTION: This controller for the image output device used for controlling the image output device outputting the image, based on an image signal outputted from the image processor, is equipped with a communication means for connecting the image output device and the image processor, and transmits at least the image output state of the image output device to the image processor via the communication means, and controls the image output state of the image output device by the image processor, based on the image output state received by the image processor.
