SOLUTION: This reactor control rod 50 has an outer cladding tube 5, both ends of which are sealed with an upper end plug 53 and a lower end plug 55, a sleeve 63 with an upper lid disposed in the outer cladding tube 51, a capsule structure 67 laid on the sleeve 63 in the outer cladding tube 51, a stack body of a boron carbide pellet 79 and a first silver - indium - cadmium alloy rod 81 accommodated in the capsule structure 67, a second silver - indium - cadmium alloy rod 59 accommodated in the sleeve 63, and a presser spring 69 provided between the capsule structure 69 and the upper end plug 53. A space 65 for storing filtered water is formed among the capsule structure 67, the sleeve 63, and the inner surface of the outer cladding tube 51. |
