GAS COOKING APPLIANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooking appliance, in which heating power can be adjusted automatically to a cooking pan. SOLUTION: The gas cooking appliance is provided with a combustion burner 2 for burning a fuel gas, a flow control unit 18 for regulating the gas flow-rate, a temperature sensor 56 for detecting the temperature of the bottom of the cooking pan, and a control unit 28 controls the flow control unit 18 in the first time period of initial period and the second time period. The control unit 28 changes the combustion condition of the burner 2 by controlling the unit 18, and perform arithmetic computations of thermal efficiencies of the first and the second time periods with the aid of detected signals of hew sensor 56, and sets combustion conditions of the burner based on the thermal efficiency.
