Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic coat carrier that makes it possible to obtain an image in which fog and sticking of carrier are reduced during development. SOLUTION: In the magnetic coat carrier having a magnetic carrier core particle and a coating layer, the surface of a magnetic metal oxide particle is rendered oleophilic, the number average particle diameter Dn of the magnetic coat carrier is 5 to 100 μm. In number distribution, the magnetic coat carrier satisfies the expression of Dn/σ>=3.5, wherein Dn is the number average particle diameter of magnetic coat carrier, and σ is a normal difference in the number distribution of the magnetic coat carrier. The metal oxide is such that the contents of the magnetic coat carrier particles having a particle diameter of (2/3)×Dn are 25 number % or less and the coating layer is formed at least by a sol-gel method. |
