Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system allowing a user to approve route retrieval for avoiding a traffic snarl. SOLUTION: A processing control part 6 determines whether the generated jammed section is located on the guiding route or not, when VICS information is obtained through a VICS module 4. When the jammed section is located on the guiding route, the control part 6 generates a notice image for notifying the jammed section, and displays it on the display part 9 together with a navigation image. The control part 6 generates the notice image including a symbol for indicating the jammed section, a cursor for indicating the center of the image, and an instruction key for indicating avoidance of the jam. The control part 6 specifys an avoidance section based on the cursor and reretrieves an avoidance route for evading the specified avoidance section, when the instruction key in the notice image is touched by the user.
