Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the spool of a spinning reel, in which the abrasion resis tance and durability of a front flange portion can be maintained to minimize the weight of the spool. SOLUTION: A spool 4 of a spinning reel is attached to the tip of a spool shaft 15 which can forward or backward be moved on the basis of a reel main body 2 of the spinning reel, is used for winding a fishing line thereon, and comprises a spool body portion 4a, a front flange portion 4c, and a flange-fixing member 47. A spool body portion 4a is attached to the tip of a spool shaft 15. The front flange portion 4c has a first flange portion 45 integrally formed in a flange-like shape on the outer periphery of the front end of the spool body portion 4a, and a ring-like second flange portion 46 detachably attached to the outer periphery of the first flange portion and made from a hard material. The flange-fixing member 47 is a member for fixing the second flange portion 46 to the first flange portion 45.
