PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add encoded data that become silent after decoding to the first section and/or last section of a musical piece file by a desired length. SOLUTION: PCM files displayed in a displaying and operating section 803 are selected and the selected files are inversely displayed. When a button 805 is clicked, high-efficiency encoding is performed on all selected PCM files. In another displaying and operating section 804, high-efficiency encoded data files subjected to the high-efficiency encoding are displayed. The data files displayed in the section 804 are selected and inversely displayed. When another button 810 is clicked, the encoded data which become zero data having an arbitrary length are added to the first section and/or last section of the data file. Since a '0'-index section which becomes the zero data is set, a portion which is reproduced as a silent section between musical pieces is produced when tracks are reproduced from a track N to a track (N+1).
