Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of introducing outdoor air into a room to be air-conditioned, without inviting increase in the running cost. SOLUTION: The air conditioner for effecting air conditioning of the room 1 to be air-conditioned is provided with air conditioners 11a-11d, 18 having air feeding fans 13, 22 and heat exchangers 12, 21, an infrared sensor 3 for detecting the number of persons passing through the way in and way out of the room to be air-conditioned, and a controller 7, operating the number of staying persons in the room to be air-conditioned by a detecting signal from the infrared sensor and controlling the number of revolution of the air feeding fans, based on the comparison of the number of staying persons with a preset number of persons staying to control the intake amount of outdoor air into the room to be air-conditioned.
