Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of surely writing in data, without cutting off power source, in the middle of writing in the data. SOLUTION: This electronic control device of an on-vehicle engine controls an actuator arranged in a fuel injection pump, and controls a fuel injection quantity and the fuel injection timing of the diesel engine. A CPU 10 detects replacement of a battery 1, by using a standby bit for expressing a state of standby voltage to a backup RAM 14, and read out the data written in an EEPROM 7, and writes the readout data again in the EEPROM 7, when the vehicle speed is a prescribed value or higher, and an engine speed is a prescribed value or higher, after replacement of the battery.
