Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption inhibitor which can effectively improve the barrier function of an intestinal tract to inhibit the absorption of an undesired ingredient, and to provide a drink, food or medicine which contains the absorption inhibitor and can inhibit the absorption of an orally taken undesired ingredient. SOLUTION: The amount of a fluorescent marker which transmits an intestinal tract absorption model from its mucous membrane side to its basement membrane is measured. The intestinal tract absorption model is prepared by culturing Caco-2 cells originated from human colon carcinoma on a permeable membrane to form a morphologically and functionally small intestine-like, single-layered cell layer, and then adding a pH 6.0 buffer solution and a pH 7.4 buffer solution on the mucous membrane side and on the basement membrane side, respectively, to form the gradient of H+ in an equilibrated state similarly to that on the intestinal track absorption of a living body. A drink, food or medicine inhibiting the absorption of an undesired ingredient such as an allergen is prepared by adding the hot water extract of lindane, Anisi stellati Fructus, MANI, black tea, or red tea which has been found to have absorption-inhibiting activity. |
