Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce and clean occluded NOx by short-time rich spiking. SOLUTION: The pores of a coat layer are formed so that pores with a pore size of 0.1-20 μm occupy 60% or more of the whole pore volume and pores with a pore size of 10-20 μm occupy 20% or more of the whole pore volume. The pore size of the pores of the coat layer become 10-2,000 times as compared with a conventional coat layer and the diffusion speed of gas through the pores also becomes 10-2,000 times. Therefore, exhaust gas can reach the interior of the coat layer even by short-time rich spiking. Since a noble metal chemical solution is infiltrated into the pores, a noble metal can be supported on the coat layer up to the interior thereof.
