Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce offset in a lateral direction in an active matching system used for a high-speed printer or the like. SOLUTION: This pre-matching system of sheet comprises: a sheet feeding lift 80 capable of turning and translation; devices 82 and 86 for the turning and translation of the sheet feeding lift; a lateral edge sensor 52 for detecting an edge in a lateral direction of the sheet at a downstream side of the sheet feeding lift; and a controller 59 for receiving a signal from the lateral edge sensor and operating the devices for turning and translation to carry out the turning and translation of the sheet feeding lift 80 toward a predetermined position.
