TIME SHARING UNIVERSAL MULTIPLE ACCESS NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which desired flexibility can be obtained upon managing a band width assigned to each station on a network. SOLUTION: The method of controlling access to a network medium from a plurality of stations includes a step a) of deciding the number of time slots, a step b) of making at least one of the time slots have a plurality of slot cycles by deciding the number of slot cycles of each time slot, and a step c) of assigning one or a plurality of slot cycles in one or a plurality of time slots to each station. The method also includes a step d) of actuating each station by initializing an access timer which is stopped when a certain station makes transmission on the network and restarted when the transmission ends so that the timer may cause time-out at the beginning of the slot cycle assigned to the station and transmitting data in the assigned slot cycle.
