Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the quality of a dry metallized film capacitor by improving the moisture resistance of the capacitor, using a film containing an inorganic oxide layer, having barrier property as the second winding film of the capacitor element of the capacitor. SOLUTION: This dry metallized film capacitor is constituted, by winding the film 2 carrying the inorganic oxide layer coated with a silicon oxide or the silicon oxide and alumina around the capacitor element 1, formed by winding up a pair of metallized films 8 in an overlapped state and forming electrode lead-out sections 5 on the end faces of the wound body, and then connecting external terminals 6 to the sections 5. The lead-out sections 5 are formed on the end faces, after the second winding plastic film 7 has been wound around the capacitor element 1. The outer periphery of the film 7 is covered with the film 2, having an inorganic oxide layer coated with the silicon oxide or the silicon oxide and alumina.
