APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING HYDROGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to supply hydrogen to a desired application according to demand by effectively using a waste gas from a combustion part, which is discharged at the time of operating a reformer, and using its holding heat. SOLUTION: Hydrogen is produced by operating the reformer for a hydrocarbon gas, the resultant reformed gas consisting essentially of gaseous hydrogen is passed alternately through at least >=2 sets of HSA packed vessels to separate, to purify and to store hydrogen, hot water by a hot water generating means using the waste gas from the reformer combustion part is generated and the resultant hot water for releasing hydrogen from the HSA packed vessels, in which hydrogen is stored, is utilized.
