Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified device and a method for switching a folder from a straight mode to a collecting mode. SOLUTION: The folder is provided with a cam having a cam follower path and a movable segment. The movable segment is equipped with a first operation part and a second part. The first operation part and the second part are optionally movable into the cam follower path. At least one of a cam follower is provided in the cam follower path. At least a holding device is provided in order to hold an end part of a folded section. The holding device is operated by at least one of the cam follower.
