Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a residual catalyst material in a polymer solution after the selective hydrogenation of an unsaturated double bond in a conjugated diene polymer using an organotitanium compound of homogeneous phase as a catalyst. SOLUTION: A step for selectively hydrogenating an olefin double bond in a homopolymer of conjugated diene monomer or a copolymer of the monomer and an aromatic vinylmonomer by the catalyst comprising the organotitanium compound or the combination of the compound with a reducing agent and a step for removing the residual metal catalyst in a hydrogenated polymer using an inorganic acid-containing alcohol and water after the hydrogenation step are provided.
