DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PAYING OUT LINEAR WORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for paying out a linear work capable of realizing reduction in a space for equipment to pay out the linear work such as wire harness to an operation line and of paying out the work to the operation line in a simplified manner. SOLUTION: This device sends out the work 1 paid out from a drum 2 to a supply line Lc to the operation line Lb in parallel with a supply line La. A wire material bending member 41 is arranged between the both lines La, Lb. A tip part of the work 1 coming straight from the supply line La is automatically bent on a bending guide surface 42 provided in the wire material bending member 41 and bent at generally 90 degrees. The bent work 1 is clamped by chucks 51, 52 at the both end parts and is cut in a designated length by a cutter 55. Separated work 1 is transferred to the operation line Lb while being clamped by the chucks 51, 52.
