SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING TERMINATING SOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for providing terminating sound which easily provide a favorite phrase of the same music with an MD for a customer as a terminating sound of a PHS or portable telephone to improve the satisfaction of the customer and increase users, eliminates the need to beforehand structure a database of data on terminating sounds, and can store more contents on a terminal and to provide a method for providing terminating sound. SOLUTION: A kiosk terminal is equipped with a DISK unit having a database stored with MD data as data of music to be downloaded to a mini disk, a display part which displays a menu picture, an input part with which a customer easily operates the kiosk terminal, and phrase selection which converts MD music data in MD data that the customer downloads to the mini disk into a terminating sound of a text data part that the customer selects and downloads the converted data into a mobile portable terminal.
