Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe hydraulic traveling vehicle prevented from running downhill even if a speed range is erroneously selected in a steep slope. SOLUTION: An operating device 20 of the hydraulic traveling vehicle is provided with a speed range selection switch 22 for selecting a traveling speed range for operation, and a control unit 30 outputs a command signal to an engine speed control circuit 41 and a motor capacity select valve 42 according to a speed range signal input from the switch 22 to change the hydraulic pump rotational frequency and the capacity of a traveling motor, and sets the speed range. The control unit 30 has a speed range regulating circuit 32, which regulates setting of a speed range where the capacity of the traveling motor is a small capacity (low torque state) when an angle of inclination of a car body inputted from an inclination angle detector 70 is higher than a designated inclination angle and sets the speed range with a large capacity (high torque state).
