Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the air permeability of an air permeable material used for a hydrogen storage vessel and to mitigate stress accumulation generated in the vessel. SOLUTION: The air permeable material 1 is housed together with a hydrogen storing alloy in the hydrogen storage vessel 4 and is formed cylindrically from a woven fibric of inorganic fiber. Its cylinder hole is allocated to an air passage 2. Thus, the manufacturing steps and the manufacturing cost are reduced to obtain the low cost air permeable material. The air permeable material has excellent air permeability and durability and has a mitigating effect on the accumulation of stress in the hydrogen storage vessel due to the expansion of the hydrogen storing alloy.
