SOLUTION: In this sheet feeder having a sheet tray 2 housing sheets S, and arranged so as to be freely taken in and out of this side of a feeder body 1, and a sheet feeding means 3 arranged on the inserting directional inmost side of the sheet tray 2, and sending out the sheets S in the sheet tray 2, an interlocking mechanism 4 is provided with moving the sheet feeding means 3 in the same direction as the sheet tray 2 by interlocking with the sheet tray 2.
