ARRIVAL-REPORTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in waiting a pickup bus at a predetermined pickup position at a scheduled time wherein the pickup bus for picking up individuals for kindergartens or companies: may not arrive at the scheduled time, if it is caught in a traffic jam or waits for users who are late in coming to the pickup position, resulting in the prolonging of the time during which the users must wait for the bus to arrive at the pickup position. SOLUTION: This arrival-reporting system reports the arrival of a pickup bus to each individual house. The system monitors the position of the pickup bus on a service route, detects that the pickup bus has passed a position preset by a user on route, where the arrival should be reported, and reports to the user by telephone that the bus is approaching the pickup position. Thus, it is possible to reduce the time during which the user waits for the bus at the pickup position and to prevent the user from being late in coming to the pickup position.
