Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rocker arm capable of forming the rocker arm having high strength by softly deforming the shape of the rocker arm. SOLUTION: This rocker arm 1 having a U-shaped cross section is manufactured by installing a bearing part 12 having a pair of shaft holes in the central part, installing a pivotally supporting part 11 pivotally supporting a bulb stem part of a bulb at one end and installing a fixing part 13 being fixed to a pivot of a rotating center at the other end. In the manufacture, a material piece is bent in a U shape, and an intermediate body 103 having a pair of side walls 14 is formed. A tip part 122 of the bearing part 12 and the pivotally supporting part 11 and the fixing part 13 at both ends of the bearing part 12 are pressed in the opposite direction each other, and the bearing part 12 is deformed and moved toward a base part side 16 opposite to an opening tip side 15 having U-shaped cross section.
