WALL BODY HAVING A PLURALITY OF FACE PLATES, AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall body which has a plurality of face plates such as tiles, allows the face plates to be fitted into a frame one by one by mounting the face plates or wall surface members on a skeleton via the frame without using mortar and joints, facilitates handling the face plates even if each one is large or heavy, and facilitates detachment thereof from the skeleton, to thereby facilitates construction of the wall body, and to provide a method for constructing the wall body. SOLUTION: The wall body has the face plates 4, and a frame F which is an assembly consisting of a pair of horizontal frame members 2 and 2, a pair of vertical frame members 1 and 1, and intermediate frame members 3 and 3. The frame members each have a groove on an inner side thereof. Then, the frame F is mounted on a skeleton such as a column, a beam, and a wall by means of nails 11. By fitting the face plates 4 into the grooves formed on the inner side of the frame F in the vertical and horizontal directions, the face plates 4 are held in the frame F, to thereby construct the wall body.
