CONSECUTIVE MEDIA STREAM REPRODUCTION METHOD AND DEVICE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a consecutive media stream reproduction method and a device, where a reproduction switching operation is carried out for receiving and reproducing a plurality of consecutive media stream files without interruption so as not to give a malaise or an unpleasant feeling to viewers, when the consecutive media stream files are received through a network, which is not ensured of a band like an internet, so as to be reproduced. SOLUTION: When it is detected that a buffer gets empty while a consecutive media stream to which genre information is added is reproduced, a consecutive media stream having the same or nearly the same genre information with the above reproduced consecutive media stream is selected out of consecutive media streams stored in a stopgap buffer different from the above buffer and reproduced.
