SOLUTION: The raceway ring is for a miniature ball bearing or small diameter ball bearing consisting of a work in the form of a ring having a wall thickness of 2 mm or less and is formed through press molding from a rolled steel plate capable of hardened by heat treatment having a hardness of Hv200 and a thickness allowance of within ±1.5%, wherein the ratio t/D of the wall thickness t to the outside diameter D should lie between 0.04 and 0.2.
