Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize weight reduction of a horn mechanism and to provide a steering wheel with a miniaturized air bag module. SOLUTION: The steering wheel comprises a retainer for holding an inflator, a bag disposed to cover the inflator over the retainer, a module cover covering the bag, and the air bag module having the horn mechanism. The module cover has an extended part 11b extending from a back surface positioned opposite to a top surface toward the steering wheel, and a notch 11c provided to the extended part 11b. The horn mechanism is provided with a plus contact arrangement part 22c provided with a plus contact 22a, and a minus contact arrangement part 22d provided with a minus contact 22b. The plus and minus contact arrangement parts 22c, 22d are placed away from each other via an energizing means 22, and one of the plus and minus contact arrangement parts 22c, 22d that is positioned about the steering wheel is fixed to the retainer 14 at the notch 11c provided to the extended part 11b of the module cover.
